Surprisingly bitters are one of the most versatile ingredients you can use when building your cocktails and there are several ways to incorporate them into your favorite recipe. Simply mix the bitters in with your other cocktail ingredients Rinse the inside of a chilled glass with a dash of bitters and strain your remaining ingredients into it. Moisten the rim of the glass with bitters before dipping the glass into your rimming salt or sugar. Float a dash or two bitters on top of your finished cocktail.
  • I noticed some sediment in my bottle of bitters, did they go bad?
No, your bitters are fine. Despite running our bitters through a two-filter process you may find some sediment in your bottle. Since our ingredients are plant based, they tend to break down in alcohol and water resulting in some sediment. If you happen to see any sediment at the bottom just give the bottle a shake, let it settle for a minute and you're good to go.

  • How do you salt the rim of your glass?
Start by placing your empty cocktail glass aside. Then determine what you'd like to rim your glass with. Lemon or lime juice work great or you can opt for a simple or flavored syrup. If you're using citrus, cut a wedge and make a small slice into it and rub the citrus around half of your glass. If you're using another liquid ingredient you can pour it onto a small plate and dip the glass into it making sure you cover only half of the rim. Now find yourself another small plate and pour some of your salt onto it. Take your glass and dip it into the salt and give it a good twist. Set down your salted glass for a few minutes allowing it to dry. Once it’s dry, carefully pour your cocktail mixture into the glass.
